Norwegian Breakaway cruise ship

Luxury and wellness aboard the Norwegian Breakaway, with Hansgrohe products

The Norwegian Breakaway is the first of two cruise ships in a new class of vessel designed for “Freestyle Cruising” on the open seas. For this concept, American shipping company Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has combined informal hospitality and modern convenience, with a wide range of services offered on board. More than 4,000 passengers can enjoy the luxurious facilities and attractions, spread over 14 decks, with no dress code. The ship offers 29 different dining experiences, including an ice bar featuring ice sculptures, where drinks are served at eight degrees below zero. Further attractions include a climbing wall and a 9-hole mini golf course. Guests can expect a truly special wellness experience in the spa, which features Hansgrohe Raindance Waterfall overhead showers. The bathrooms in the suites, where the convenient spout heights of the mixers from the Metris range offer plenty of customised space at the wash basin, constitute the perfect retreat.

With its innovative Promenade Deck “The Waterfront”, shipping company NCL's Breakaway class offers passengers a unique cruising experience. Numerous restaurants on this open deck offer places where you can sit outside, overlooking the sea. The area is also ideal for walks, just like on a seafront promenade, combining the experience of being at sea with superior on-board comfort and convenience. For instance Hansgrohe showers, which are equipped with water-saving AirPower and EcoSmart technology, offer an unparalleled pleasurable shower experience: both these innovations help reduce the carbon footprint of cruise ships – a factor that is becoming increasingly important.

Since 2013 the Norwegian Breakaway has set sail regularly from New York to Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The pop art design on the hull of the luxury liner pays tribute to its home port, while the hull artwork on its identical sister ship Norwegian Getaway embodies the colourful world of Florida. The Getaway began its regular cruises from Miami to the Caribbean in 2014.
