General Terms and Conditions for Booking Seminars

1. Scope

The following General Terms and Conditions shall govern the contractual relationship between the seminar participant and Hansgrohe UK. Any participant's General Terms and Conditions that diverge herefrom shall have no legal force.

2. Registration

You can register via the internet, by fax or through your Hansgrohe representative. Registration shall become legally binding when confirmed in brief by us. Please note the information on the registration process for each seminar on the internet at www.pro.hansgrohe.co.uk/seminars.

3. Services

Hansgrohe reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the seminar program while preserving the overall character of the seminar. Participants will be informed immediately if the seminar is unable to go ahead as a result of force majeure, or because a speaker is unable to attend, or due to interruptions at the event venue or an insufficient number of participants. Cancellation due to an insufficient number of participants will be announced no later than 1 week before the event. No claims to reimbursement of travel and overnight accommodation costs or loss of earnings will be considered unless such costs arose due to gross negligence or intent on the part of Hansgrohe.

4. Due date and payment, default

Two weeks before the seminar date you will receive confirmation of registration including an invoice for the seminar fee. The fee for the seminar, inclusive of comprehensive seminar documentation, lunch, catering during breaks and two nights' accommodation including VAT for each person and seminar date, is due immediately on receipt of the invoice. If the participant is in default of payment, then Hansgrohe is entitled to cancel his/her participation at the seminar. Payment is via invoice. Payment by mailing cash or cheques is not permitted; in the event of loss, Hansgrohe assumes no liability.

5. Cancellation / reimbursement of costs

A cancellation always entails administrative work and costs for us. If it is unavoidable, you have the option of sending a substitute person to take part instead. The majority of our courses are free of charge, however on those occassions where a fee is necessary and has been confirmed. It is possible to cancel (only in writing and with submission of bank details) free of charge up to 7 days before the start of the event, but after this the full course fee will be due for payment, and you will have no claim to reimbursement. Likewise, if you fail to turn up or if you cancel on the day of the event, the full participation fee will be due for payment. In the event of illness or an accident the course fee will be refunded, provided that a medical certificate is presented. If participants drop out of the course then there will be no reimbursement of the course fees.

6. Copyright

The seminar documentation is protected by copyright. The conference documentation may be duplicated, distributed and otherwise used only with the express written consent of Hansgrohe

7. Liability

The events are carefully prepared and presented by qualified speakers. Hansgrohe accepts no liability for the currency, correctness and completeness in respect of seminar documentation and implementation of the seminar.

8. Applicable law, place of jurisdiction

UK law shall apply, excluding the UN Sales Convention. The place of jurisdiction shall be UK, where permitted by law.

9. Users' right of cancellation

You have the right to cancel your registration in writing within 14 days of receipt of the brief confirmation, without giving any reason Cancellation fees shall not be charged. Compliance with the deadline shall be substantiated by timely dispatch of the cancellation to the following address: Hansgrohe Limited, Units D1-D2 Sandown Estate, Royal Mills, Esher, Surrey, KT10 8BL. This right of cancellation shall not apply when the seminar booked has taken place and the participant has attended it.

10. Videos, audio recordings and photographs

The organiser intends to use videos, audio recordings and photographs of the participants produced in connection with the event for advertising purposes, without any right to remuneration. He/She hereto reserves the right to use, broadcast, display, reproduce or otherwise publish all material, e.g. on the radio, on TV, at events, on the internet etc. The organiser shall also be entitled to transfer these rights to third parties. If you disagree with any use of videos, audio recordings or photographs, please notify the seminar leader immediately after the event.

11. Data protection

Hansgrohe UK undertakes to protect your personal data and to take appropriate steps to ensure its security. Where you supply personal information such as name, address or telephone number, this data will be used by Hansgrohe UK for marketing purposes. Your data will not be passed on to any third parties. This excludes service providers who are acting on behalf of Hansgrohe UK and third parties such as the companies affiliated to Hansgrohe AG in accordance with §§ 15 ff. AktG (German Stock Corporation Act). In accordance with current law, you can enquire in writing at any time as to whether any personal data pertaining to you is stored with us and what data that may be. We will then send you communication to that effect. Please send your requests to Hansgrohe Limited, Units D1-D2 Sandown Estate, Royal Mills, Esher, Surrey, KT10 8BL. The same applies when it comes to deletion of your data.
